9:15a - creating a wild west larp
A question for anyone who has an opinion:

I have a friend who's trying to create a weekend-style wild west LARP, and he's got some awesome ideas. He's thinking of just using nWoD rules because all our friends and gaming circles know it anyway, and its pretty simple. The issue he's running into is a combat system. He can't see anyone wanting to spend an entire weekend pulling cards with no real action, but at the same time airsoft is painful and paintball is expensive. Spell packets/beanbag packets, he thinks, will get old fast.

So the question is: does anyone have any good ideas for running a real-time combat system in a wild west LARP that is safe and fun? Any input is great! Thanks.
