9:24p - Looking for writers...

I'm glad I found this group and I'm hoping someone here can help me with my dilemma. I'm trying to do something a bit different; it's a project that's a cross between an RPG and truly collaborative storytelling. I have a few people onboard, but I'm looking for a few more writers with RPG or fanfiction experience and I'm having a devil of a time finding the right venue in which to recruit. So, I was hoping I could get some inside wisdom from you folks about where to look.

The project is a forum where a small group of writers will essentially "workshop" and then write scenes for an online, paranormal serial. We'll have a shared universe with a large cast of characters that everyone can write for. We'll also have an over-arching storyline that will always propel the story forward, even though we'll be writing smaller, tangential storylines and single scene vignettes that have nothing to do with the "Big Plot." Unlike a traditional RPG, I want this to be a place where the writers brainstorm storylines and then write them in whatever manner they wish, be it a roleplaying thread, a co-written work, or a solo piece. But because we've committed to the over-arching story, what we'll really be doing is building up a cache of scenes that, at some point, we can stitch together into a compelling, cohesive story, as opposed to disparate threads that share a common setting, but from a narrative perspective, don't have anything to do with each other.

Sorry, I didn't mean to go into that much detail, but I wanted to give you context. Anyhow…I've tried checking out the larger well-known RPG and fanfiction sites, but it feels like I'm poaching, so I don’t feel right about approaching writers there. And I've tried the writing sites but found that by the time the kind of writer I'm looking for has joined up there, they’re well into their first manuscript and not willing to commit to another project.

So, are there little known sites out there where RPG'ers or fanfiction writers gather to work solely on their writing craft? I'm convinced there has to be a site like this out there somewhere on the interwebs and I'm just not seeing it because it's not comin' up in my Google search. Does anyone have any ideas or leads? Any and all help is extremely welcome and greatly appreciated.
