Voodoo Dolly

Fox Magic (Almost) Complete!

All the artwork is in. My wife's just needing to do the back cover's blurb. The editing is in. I've just contacted my friend who is doing layout so she can get started on it. The document, without all the art and watermarks, is 30 megs. The zip file with everything in it for my friend is 90 megs. It takes an hour to upload the ZIP file for her to get. The thing currently sits at 64 pages, and the table of contents is an entire page by itself. No index, but it shouldn't be a problem since I made the ToC very detailed, so people should be able to find what they need quickly.

I'm hoping layout can be done in about a week, perhaps two weeks. Because once it is done, I need my partner to go through it, do final adjustments, and send it off to printing (which means me needing the money to get that part done). 500 copies, and I need that back here so I can take a bunch to Toronto for the convention there. It would suck to not have anything to show at the convention, physically.

We'll be selling this thing on RPGNow as usual, in PDF format. But I'm overjoyed that we'll also have physical copies to show people. I don't know what the final sale price is, it will depend on how much it cost to print, plus we need to make up what I spent out of my own pocket to pay artists, editors, and layout (which will be almost $700). Out of that 500 copies, I'm handing out about ten copies to those who took the time and effort to help get this done, and probably another five are going to family who helped cover the printing costs and for bragging rights. Then, of course, there's the copies we need to give out for reviews and to distributors so they can approve the books for sale on their web pages, which is probably another five copies. So, 480 copies to be sold.

This is the biggest project I've ever done, and I'm almost vibrating with excitement and apprehension. :) Still, though, I'm done!!
