What would you use this for...Part 6.

Okay! Here I am again with your weekly discussion about what sort of music you'd use in RPG sessions.

Let's start with an offering from the most recent King Arthur movie (the one with Clive Owen and Keira Knightly). That soundtrack was done by the great Hans Zimmer, and this song is called "Woad to Ruin". What would you use this for?

And now in the modern/contemporary category, I offer you Choke from a band called Hybrid. Anyone seeing the trailers for that odd little movie - The Spirit - might recognize it, though (in an rather disturbing trend) it didn't make it onto the soundtrack.

What do you think? Would you use either of these? If so, where and how? Don't forget, I am always happy to hear your choices and recommendations!

'Til next week!

Mutants and Masterminds and Alternate Powers

Question for the M&M players in the audience: How does the alternate power feat work? The wording is fuzzy to me, and a quick google search tells me I'm not the only one.

If it works the way I think it does, when you buy the feat, you get secondary power X at Y value, which has to be equal to or lesser than primary power Z. so if I put 20 points into Z, X can be less than or equal to twenty- but I'm still only paying for Z plus the feat. Also, only one of the powers in the array can be used at a time. Is that correct, or am I missing a step?

As an aside, I just got the book a few days ago, and I am really digging it. It does almost everything Champions does, with a fraction of the work. And here I thought I'd never find a superhero RPG simpler than Aberrant!
