This evening I started running Dark Heresy at my Thursday night club, which went rather well. We had two experienced players and one inexperienced, the latter doing surprisingly well. He knows the Warhammer 40,000 setting, so that is a big plus. We rolled characters up bar the choice of Career, and everyone seemed to have got the character that they wanted. So we have an Adept, an Arbiter, and a Guardsman, and I am running the demo scenario, "Shattered Hope." Thankfully they have not played it.

So far, the trio have landed on Sepheris Secundus and know that something nasty is going on, but nobody is talking. The troops on planet say that there is something nasty in the mines, but clammed up after. An insane trooper's gibbering hinted at tentacles and eye, but nothing more.

Although I am worried at not having run anything in months, I am looking forward to carrying on.

7:25p - Searched through the catacombs of the mighty underground city called "Bookshelf"
Hi guys!

  During this week, when my net was broken, I started to browse through my books to find something good to read and by the gods the treasure I've found! Just hidden among those big books, there was a notebook. "Why not?"

  I asked and started reading it...  the notebook contained the rules and informations about my very very first RPG which I wrote in fifth grade I think.  You can imagine how nostalgic moments those were, at some points seeing the hotheadness of my youth made me smile. Like, when at some point I wrote that leveling up depends on the amount of monsters a character kills, or a potion that can make you invulnerable for days... you know, cute, but not all bad things what very young, complete beginners write ^^

 Even if it was pretty green, reading through it sure made my day, I even thought about bringing it back to life, at least the world, but now with my new rules, but it lasted only for a minute. You know that I already have a second new world coming along (and it's coming along pretty well, just to inform you ;) ) after that dream I spoke about, and I would hardly find any time for it. But not just that, the sad part of the story is that when I was reached to the parts where I wrote about the world, it's ways, races, etc. I had to notice, that I just can't feel connected to it enough, like I was back then. I don't mean that I don't like it anymore, I would never say that, but... eh, darn it , these are the ways of the changing taste ^^;

  Anyways, finding it still made me very happy :) Have any of you ever had this kind of a meeting with your spirits of  RPG past?

current mood: curious
