Free stuff is good

The New World of Darkness corebook and Scion: Hero are both available for free for the short term to download at DriveThruRPG.com. Free is good and I personally like the NWOD Core. Excellent mortals game and base system imo.

Anywho, enjoy the free stuff.

Edit:
Free under the links below, sorry for the confusion.

Character creation, and character arcs

Today's chargen is a game very near and dear to my heart: Promthean: The Created.

Also, a question for today: When you make a character, how much thought do you give to that character's future? I often think about what kind of "arc" the character will have, what the character needs to learn or cope with in order to change. Static characters are boring. Plus, if I go into a game saying to the GM "I'd like my character to have to confront his supposedly dead creator," that tells the GM in no uncertain terms what I'd like to see in the game.

Now, for a plot-driven game, that might not be appropriate, but for a character-driven game, I as an ST find it extremely helpful.

Thoughts?
