The Distant Future

(no subject)

question about D&D 3.5:

The description for Flaming Weapon states that:
"A flaming weapon deals an extra 1d6 points of fire damage on a successful hit."

Does this extra damage apply to hits with special attacks such as a trip attack?
What about a disarm?

(yes, my chain fighter found a spiked chain of flaming burst.)

Psion Powers, Feats and Skills

I just leveled up to the third level and my DM is requesting changes to the elemental steward spell.  He said he wants to keep psions no more powerful than wizards, and elemental steward is more powerful than any 2nd level wizard spell.  So he said we could either make it a third level spell or prevent them from using psionic powers

I used the following argument

Any other arguments/observations would be appreciated.  I hate to take a power away if in fact it's a fair power.

Also, any recommendations for a bonus feat?  Expanded knowledge is nice - it would allow to have astral construct (is that necessary if I have elemental stewards?  Clearly at higher levels Ast C is better).  More power points is also a very nice feat, though.

About new powers to choose - swarm of Crystals has low damage, but it's automatic, and an area effect.  Some people say ego whip is powerful, but I don't see why, unless reducing charisma to zero kills something.

As for skills, any recommendations as to which is most likely to come up?  Nobody in my party seems to have any of these, except for climb.

*Climb
* Decipher Script
*Architecture and engineering (buildings, aqueducts, bridges, fortifications)

• Dungeoneering (aberrations, caverns, oozes, spelunking)

• Geography (lands, terrain, climate, people)

Finally, are there any psionic devices/tattoos that are especially recommended within the $500-1000 range?

BTW, a psicrystal has an intelligence of 6.  Does this mean it gains no new skill points until intelligence reaches 8, since a psion gets skills according to 2+(Int Modifier) X 4?
