8:35a - Yet another....

So this isn't really a issue... this is more so a request for advice to avoid a issue that could possibly occur in my gaming group.

1:28p - Hobbiton town map
I'm starting a new D&D game in the Halfling city of Beluir and was going to model it after Hobbiton, but I'd rather not reinvent the wheel if I don't need to.

Is there an online map of the town of Hobbiton? If not, did I.C.E. produce a Middle Earth Role-Playing book with maps of the Shire (other than the large overland map)?

I found a few MERP maps from http://www.merp.com/downloads/maps/ but didn't see anything for towns from The Shire.

2:38p - [general] Ponderings / Discussion Point
Hi folks,

Wondering what get you riled up in role-playing?

Role-playing would be great if it wasn't for the ...

Players who insist on quoting Monty Python repeatedly irrespective of game genre or mood.

2:40p - Sociological Survey on Gaming...
Dear folk,

I'm a college student in Minneapolis doing sociological research on role playing. (I figure it's good to study things you are involved in already...)

The survey below the cut is specifically addressing Live Action games and their unique quirks with regards to organization and the "norms" response to seeing nice folk wandering around in costume.

If you don't want to leave the response as an open comment, feel free to send me an email instead. Thanks so much!
