5:18p - Robin's Laws player type test
robin_d_laws, the greatest GM in history, has pointed folks to another "what kind of gamer test".
Now, I'm usually loathe to do these kinds of things (ever since some OKCupid test told me I was gouda. Stupid fucking OKCupid!), but since it's designed to help you find out what kind of gamer you are based on the character types outlined in Robin's Laws of Good Game Mastering (go on, get yourself a copy), I figure that counts extra.
So, the result is:
| You scored as Storyteller. The Storyteller is in it for the plot: the sense of mystery and the fun of participating in a narrative that has the satisfying arc of a good book or movie. He enjoys interacting with well-defined NPCs, even preferring antagonists who have genuine motivations and personality to mere monsters. To the Storyteller, the greatest reward of the game is participating in a compelling story with interesting and unpredictable plot threads, in which his actions and those of his fellow characters determine the resolution.|
With apologies to Robin Laws.
What RPG Player (Not Character) Type Are You?

That's kind of surprising, both in that I normally view myself as a casual gamer. Eh, well. I figured I would score low on Specialist (unlike, I'm sure, someone I could name) but I assumed Weekend Warrior and Casual Gamer would be higher.
