Great LARP moment

I just had to share this one from tonight's LARP. After the return of a villain we'd thought we'd killed:

Blake: So, was anyone actually witness to this individual's death?
Me: Amber's the only witness. But we all saw her with dust on her hands.
Blake: What did she do with the dust?
Tony: She gave it to the werewolves. Most of it.
Blake: What, are the werewolves doing lines of vampire, now?

The drawback of online gaming...

Online gaming is great, when you can't find a local group, and you want your GM/RP fix. It's great b/c you can run a game at a pace that doesn't seem too drawn out, but you're not pressed for anything, except every 3 days.

Of course, it's not "meant" to replace tabletop gaming. I've never considered it as such, it's just another way of gaming, and right now, the best I can do, not having a car or the ability to just go anywhere I want, whenever I want...

But, the big drawback... is when you drop a bombshell, or come up with a great narrative... and you can't see your players reactions.

In a nutshell, it's the human/social aspect. Sure, you can chat with people and needle them for feedback, but it's not the same.

I miss me some tabletop gaming.
