Game System Mechanic

I am attempting to craft my own game system.

As a start, I am going to base it as a combination of features and things that I personally find make for a better game system. My short list for this (but not limited to) is as follows.

Non Level Dependant
Classless (more pseudo classes or kits)
Purchase based improvements
Opposed roll combat/defense
Conditional Modifiers
Constructive Magic system

I will elaborate on these in time, but I feel many of these are self explainatory.

What concepts or mechanics do YOU feel would make the ideal system??
