I normally don't like posting admin stuff on the main community page but I figure that what went down in this
thread compels me to say something.
I don't want this community to end up like near every internet forum, full of flaming and backbiting and all-around unpleasantness. By and large roleplayers has been a friendly, welcoming place, and I want it to stay that way. The stuff that went down in that thread, while limited to only a handful of posters, is wholly unacceptable.
I'm going to lay this down once. I pretty much expect every member of this community to abide by these rules with no questions asked.
1) If you don't like someone's playing style - then cope. Don't post calling them a munchkin, or make snide remarks about ROLL-playing versus roleplaying. Fact is trying to make the most effective combat character is a perfectly valid way of gaming. It's even fun. You are not the sole arbiter of what is and isn't fun.
2) No flaming. Period. I don't give a good goddamn crap what someone did to deserve it - calling someone an asshole is 100% unacceptable. If you think someone's crossed a line then let me know - I'll take care of it.
Real simple. Play nice and we can all have fun in this little sandbox. If not I'll stomp on your sand castles.
