Slide into the city...

blah blah blah

I just realized that I never formally introduced myself here.

My name is Aya. I have a journal and I like new friends. :) I love Star Trek and my computer’s name is Wintermute. I spend all of my money on fantasy books. In other words, I am a geek.

There. Done.

Anyway, I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, but I was wondering if anyone here has ever played Nobilis or any other diceless game. If so, what are your thoughts on it and how does it compare to, say, a standard game of D&D? I’ve been trying to find a copy of Nobilis without resorting to ordering it online, but so far the search has been fruitless. (And even if I did find it, it’s not like I could find anyone to play it with me. I live on a rock in the middle of the pacific. Good weather. Bad geek to ‘normals’ ratio.)

What was I talking about again? Oh yes, diceless gaming. I've never done it. Thoughts?

Games You Should Never Have Run

Had an interesting (pronounced: terrible) experience yesterday afternoon. With a head cold and a minor fever I ran a game. I couldn't get into it at all. I couldn't concentrate. It was probably one of the bottom 10% of games I've ever run. Not actually a "fumble," but not good at all.

I felt pressured, this may be the only time we get to play in April. Holidays and work threaten our gaming schedule. We've been spoiled by regular weekly sessions.

Am I unique in this experience?

Randomness.., :)

How often do you folks get a chance to game?

What sort of games do you preferr?

Just some random thoughts to pass the time while I wait for work. :)

I don't get to game as often as I used to, and the chaotic scheduling of a waitress leaves me with little time for a regular occuring game session(s). :/

Real Life is of course more important, otherwise I wouldn't have the money to feed myself after all. ;) *chuckles* But gaming is much a part of my life. It is indeed one of my major "hobbies". I just wish my bf would be more open minded about it. :P feh.

I ran into one of the creators of Deliria (not Phil Brucato :) plugging the game in the Dealers' Room of a convention this past weekend, and was intrigued by his description of the game.

Has anyone here played it? What do you think of it?
