It struck me that others might like to have a chance to lament/cackle evilly at the RP efforts of the group I play with. Usually, on Thursday nights a friend runs a game of Exalted for us. However, earlier in the week he'd asked me if I would be able to run something, as he not only wanted more time to work on his storyline but also would like to play a bit as well. Not a problem, I assured him, and went to knock something up for Thursday.

In this session, we got through to about 9:30pm. Everyone went away with me reminding them for the next session to look up and research how actual thieves and burglars actually do their thing, as what they attempted was a complete shambles. Admittedly, a fair bit of it was down to the dice, but still, man, that was cringingly bad.

A few other things followed that evening, but nothing nearly as bemusing. I await with glee what joys and soul-destroying moments prepare to greet me next week.

*Said player has a very one-track mind when it comes to roleplaying... a very orcish barbarian mindset. Well, he is a rugby player. It's my current mission to train him away from massively combat based characters into more thoughtful roles. Said training is generally most successful with a big pointy stick.
