campaign maps

I have been working off and on the last couple months on my new campaign world map, I have major landforms, and a few different kindgoms, etc, figured out, though not all are on the map yet. currently I am putting the most effort into simply drawing it out and figuring out what populates it in various individual areas. sometimes, as I fill it in, some bit of history comes to me, like just things that might have happened, or why certain things were built where they are, or why certain things have the names they do, etc. anyway, the map is roughly half done.
So I figured I would post it for opinions and/or suggestions, or whatever comments one might have. I posted it in this post in my personal journal. so if you want to check it out and let me know what you think, then by all means, please do so, though I must warn you that behind that link is a very large scan of my map that is over 600 k. Interestingly enough, I recently noticed that on a 17 inch monitor at 1024 by 768 resolution, the map is roughly the same size as the physical one that I scanned in. hehe. thanks y'all.

Living Jungle

A friend of mine went to MegaCon (Orlando, FL) last month, and learned about the Living Jungle area of AD&D's Forgotten Realms. She's really gotten it into her head that we need a campaign. I've read through the website (Living Jungle), but I'm wondering if anyone has played it, at cons and such, and how "playable" it is. Do many different classes fit in? Are the spells the same as in Forgotten Realms, or are there new ones? The website is rather lacking, and I'm just wondering if it will be worth the effort before jumping in. I hate getting stuck in a campaign that's goig nowhere.

Thanks much.
