I'm assuming every gamer in Seattle knows what the game center is, but I realize we're not all from Seattle, so I'll explain. A few years ago, Wizards bought up a decent-sized space and put in the game center. Downstairs was an area with lots of tables and chairs set up for playing Magic or Warhammer or even chess. There was also an area down there dedicated just to computer games. Upstairs an arcade on one side, including a BattleTech arena, and a store on the other that carried just about any RPG you could want. First of their stores as far as I know. Anyway, the place was all done up with statues and paintings of stuff from Magic:TG and just generally had a lot of style. Was a good place to hang out til they started chasing people out of the downstairs area during the day. Ah well.
I'm kind of sad to see it go, myself. I had some good times there playing Magic, Addams family pinball, or just browsing the store on my lunch hour. I'm going to try to get down there sometime during the next couple days. If anyone wants to meet me face-to-face, maybe we can work out a common time to be there.
